“Ria Sal apartments” is located in the Beira-Mar district at Rua do Sargento Clemente de Morais, nº 15, in the heart of the historic center of Aveiro, 150 meters from the chapel of São Gonçalinho and 100 meters from the Church of Vera Cruz.
It resulted from the recovery and rehabilitation of a century-old building where there was a tavern, restaurant and an overnight stay called “Zé Bissa”, very well known and popular in Aveiro. During the dictatorship period, it was the daily meeting point for many because of its influence in preparing a change in the country, which had been under the dictatorship for decades and was monitored by the military police known as PIDE and PSP.
